Why advocacy?

EU rules and regulations have a direct impact on SEMI members' access to the EU market and European manufacturing. Through our Brussels office, SEMI liaises bewteen members and Europea decision-makers to contribute to balanced policies and  a positive business environment.

What do we do?

Our work is guided by our members’ needs. We offer a range of services, including:
  • Monitor EU policy and regularly update members on what the EU is doing and how it may impact SEMI members
  • Liaising with EU decision-makers: meet with representatives from the Commission, the European Parliament, national and regional authorities in Brussels to advocate members’ needs and concerns
  • Raise awareness around the semiconductor industry: maintaining visibility among different stakeholders in Brussels to raise the profile of the semiconductor industry

SEMI Europe is currently engaged in the following EU policy areas:

We organise an annual SEMI Brussels Forum that brings together industry executives and European decision-makers to exchange views on the latest developments in Europe and forge a consensus on Europe’s policy priorities.
